Ladies, meet Allie Ace. She-Shredz is stoked beyond words to have Allie on board as a She-Shredz Backcountry and Guide contributor. Allie spends her time chasing winter (can you blame her?) in the winter, you can find Allie guiding, instructing AIARE courses, ski coaching, instructing, basically any way she can spend her time with skis under her. In the summer, Allie heli-ski guides in the southern hemi; yea she is badass.
She-Shredz is thrilled to have Allie share her expertise with all of us. Her unique perspective and knowledge as a female backcountry guide and instructor fills a gap in real-life experience that takes a lifetime to learn. Allie will be contributing what shes learned in the backcountry and all that's in between to even her time on piste. Stay tuned for insightful tips from caring for your skins to how to pick a backcountry partner and so much more!
Allie grew up skiing on the East Coast. At 12 she joined the junior race team, and she continued to ski race while in college competing in USCSA. After graduating college Allie moved to Tahoe to chase her passion in the mountains. This has led her to gain impressive credentials ranging from a PSIA 3 to American Avalanche Association Pro 2. Her passion for skiing is evident.
Allie is currently available to guide both in a structured class setting and custom backcountry guide. If you are searching for help in planning any of your gnarly ski trip ideas, reach out. She will be instructing through NASTAC and Alpenglow this winter if anyone is searching for an excellent female avalanche instructor.
