Ski resorts are racing to open for those first turns of the season. Will you be ready? Don't be the jerry that forgets one of their gloves, or worse their goggles. Get your gear and yourself ready for opening day with our She-Shredz guide. Here are our five easy steps to get you and your gear ready for opening day.
Gather Your Gear
Round up all of your ski gear and examine to see if you have any missing pieces or damages. From your: socks, gloves, helmet, lenses, boots, skis, boards, and whatever else you would typically use. Taking inventory before you get to the parking lot will help avoid an buzz kill on opening day stoke.
Scrape and Wax
Get your skis and boards ready with fresh wax. Make sure to give them a good scrape if you had storage wax on them over the summer. Repair any base damage and get ready for that first day back!
Check Your Boots
We'll say it over and over again, boots are the most important piece of equipment. Make sure your boots are good to go. Try them on and ensure there are no pressure points or pain areas. If you find any new areas make an apt. with your boot fitter to get them taken care of.
Test Your Bindings
Get your skis tested by a professional ski tech. Testing your bindings to your ski boots are essential to ski safety. Protect your knees and your piece of mind knowing you'll eject when it matters the most.

Examine Your Kit
Try on your ski jacket/ pants and make sure they move how you want them to fit. Check all of your zippers and pockets. This is a great time to ensure you don't have any rips from last year. Give yourself plenty of time to fix any issues before you're on the snow.
The sooner you check and verify your gear the more time you have to fix anything that needs attention. Trust us something every season needs to be attended to. The more prepared you are the better that first day back will go.
